An introvert in the making

A thorn in a world of roses, a needle in the haystack, an
insignificant being in a busy world with busy people, none having time for you.
That's how I feel at times when I want to say something, have something
worthwhile to share to the world, to make conversation about, but no one slows
down and gives a damn. This may feel insignificant the first time around, but
it consistently chips away at the little heart that's yours to own.
Eventually, bruised and battered, you stop venturing out and
let the tides wash out and disappear in the dark dungeon that is your heart.
Thing is, it used to be an outlandish island of happiness churning out dreams
and stories that lacking acknowledgment and nourishment, has turned derelict
and now houses mere ghosts of the past. You start having imaginary friends and
well wishers, applauding to make up for the dereliction in your heart. You start
waiting for that person, a friend, who can brush away the cobwebs and fix the
lighting, brightening up your heart again.
Yours,
An introvert in the making.
Did you know there is an inverse relationship between being a conversationalist and having the most interesting ideas? :P
